Solly's is a family business. Joe & Leah Markovitch are the founders and owners of Solly's. Solly's first location (East 28 th & Main) opened in March of 1994. Solly's is named after Joe's late father who operated a general store in Saskatchewan called "Sol's Superette". Solly is also the name of Joe & Leah's first-born son. Joe & Leah also have 2 other children Aliza and Effi.
